Hope you are all doing well.

Couple of Days Off:  I will not be teaching on November 4th (Election Day) and November 11th (Veterans Day) - both the morning and night classes.  Marilyn will probably sub my night classes, and I'm still trying to line up my morning class sub.  To find me on those two days, you will have to come up to the High Desert.

Free Saturday Promotion:  Starting now and continuing for the rest of 2008, come to my Tuesday and Thursday NIGHT classes on the same week and get a free Saturday.  Pick up a date-stamped ticket when you come to the night class, collect both from the same week, and redeem it on any Saturday in 2008.  This promotion ends on 12/28/2008.

15th Teaching Anniversary:  Next month will conclude my 15th year of teaching Step.  I have met many fascinating people during this time.  I would like to invite most of you who have not been coming to class - this mailing list has over 800 people and I see maybe about 100 of you…do the math - to come back during the month of November as my guest.  Come on a Saturday when non-members are allowed to take my classes (if you are no longer a Bally's member), see the familiar faces and the newbies, and show them how to do my class.  After teaching for this many years, one of the few things that still gets me excited is to see my old regulars come back.

On the Web:  I dusted off our old carlsclass.com website and am planning on keeping it updated - if you have never seen it, go take a look.  We are also on Facebook - there is a group called "Carl's Step Class and Math Class Alumni Association", besides seeing who's on there, you can also get a list of all the Step moves I teach in class. 

Updates: Exchanged messages with Bill Krenz who used to come to my classes in South Bay with his mom Judy.  I told him that I had a hard time getting my regulars to believe that back in the days my Step class had parties at my house with Polynesian dancers.  Good times.
